150 targets to Camp Perry
Camp Perry is a National Guard garrison in the north of Ohio, close to Lake Erie,
one of the big lakes between USA and Canada.
US National Matches have been arranged on the huge shooting ranges at Camp Perry since 1907.
It is no exaggeration to say that Camp Perry is a national shooting center with long traditions.
The US shooting federation, Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), has already installed
80 lanes of Kongsberg OpticScore targets with lifters for 3 position shooting at the 10m range
in Camp Perry http://thecmp.org/air/cmp-competition-centers/,
plus a number of Kongsberg electronic targets for short range rifle and pistol.
However, this summer CMP is going to arrange the US National Matches with 150 electronic targets,
with shooting distances up to 600yards. The result of this has been hectic activity in Kongsberg
Target Systems (KTS) the last months.
KTS look forward to one more huge electronic shooting range in USA.
Camp Perry is CMP`s northern shooting center in USA, while Talladega Marksmanship Park
is the southern shooting center, in Alabama.
In Talladega there is already 250 electronic targets from KTS;
